O Shea Jay opened the score in the 14th minute, before seeing Shrewsbury Town catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Brown Junior. 1-1 at half time. Salop eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by El-abd Adam with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Chesterfield FC are down in fourth place with 7 points from 4 games, 3 points behind Bradford City AFC.
