League One (Week 21) : Southend beats Coventry 3-1
ENGLAND, Dec. 10, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 21: After their 1-1 draw against Swindon Town on November 26 and 0-0 draw against Walsall on November 26, the Shrimpers bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Coventry City this Saturday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Wordsworth Anthony in the 6th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ferdinand Anton '64 and Mclaughlin Stephen '69).
Southend United FC climbed to 8th place with 31 points from 21 games, only one point behind Fleetwood Town FC.
