ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 23: Three wins in a row for Southend United. After their success against Coventry City and Oldham Athletic, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League One with a 3-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon this Monday.
Cox Simon scored dual goals
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cox Simon ('10) and Atkinson Will ('41). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Cox Simon with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Southend United FC climbed to fifth place with 37 points from 23 games, tie on points with Bradford City AFC, which has a game in hand.
