ENGLAND, Aug. 16, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 2: Two wins in a row for Morecambe. After their 0-3 win against Dagenham & Redbridge on August 9, the Shrimps continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 3-2 victory over Newport County this Saturday.
Ellison scored dual goals
Newport County had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Chapman ('27) and O Connor ('29). Trailing 2-0 at half time, the Shrimps nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Ellison '58, '63 and Mullin '84).
Morecambe FC remains in first place with 6 points from 2 games, tie on points with runner-up Wycombe Wanderers FC.
