League Two (Week 10) : Newport beats AFC Wimbledon 4-1
WALES, Sep. 27, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 10: After their 0-0 draw against Tranmere Rovers on September 20 and 0-0 draw against Shrewsbury Town on September 20, the Exiles bounced back with a 4-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon this Saturday.
Pigott scored dual goals
Newport County dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Yakubu in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Exiles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Pigott '46, '65 and O Connor '90).
AFC Wimbledon are down in 12nd place with 14 points from 10 games, one point behind Mansfield Town FC.
