League Two (Week 18) : Southend beats Tranmere 2-1
ENGLAND, Nov. 22, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 18: Three wins in a row for Southend United. After their success against Mansfield Town and Hartlepool United, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over Tranmere Rovers this Saturday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to goals from Payne ('16) and Aimson ('23 own). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Southend United FC climbed to fifth place with 31 points from 18 games, 2 points behind Shrewsbury Town FC.
