League Two (Week 23) : York beats Carlisle 3-0
ENGLAND, Dec. 28, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for York City. After their 1-0 win against Accrington Stanley on December 26, the Minstermen continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 3-0 victory over Carlisle United this Sunday.
York City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Carson in the 44th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Minstermen further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Summerfield '68 and Coulson '81).
York City FC climbed to 18th place with 26 points from 23 games, only one point behind Mansfield Town FC.
