League Two (Week 24) : Newport beats Carlisle 2-1
WALES, Jan. 3, 2015 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 24: Three wins in a row for Newport County. After their success against Plymouth Argyle and Cheltenham Town, the Exiles continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over Carlisle United this Saturday.
Meppen-walter opened the score in the 11th minute, before seeing Newport County catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Chapman penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Exiles eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Minshull in the 70th minute.
Newport County AFC climbed to fourth place with 43 points from 24 games, only one point behind Shrewsbury Town FC.
