League Two (Week 24) : Plymouth beats Newport 2-1
WALES, Dec. 28, 2015 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 24: Three wins in a row for Plymouth Argyle. After their success against Hartlepool United and Yeovil Town, the Pilgrims continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over Newport County this Monday.
Newport County had started off well by taking the lead in the 24th minute with a goal by Boden Scott. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Pilgrims nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Jervis Jake '48 and Brunt Ryan '70).
Plymouth Argyle FC remains in first place with 49 points from 24 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Northampton Town FC, which has a game in hand.
