League Two (Week 23) : Northampton beats York 2-1
ENGLAND, Feb. 23, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 23: 10 wins in a row for Northampton Town. After their success against Accrington Stanley, Barnet, Plymouth Argyle, Dagenham & Redbridge, Morecambe, York City, Leyton Orient, Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers, the Cobblers continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over York City this Tuesday.
Northampton Town dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Collins James in the 40th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cobblers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Marquis John in the 51st minute.
Northampton Town FC climbed to first place with 73 points from 32 games, a 12-point lead over runner-up Plymouth Argyle FC.
