ENGLAND, Dec. 17, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 21: After their 0-0 draw against Mansfield Town on December 10, The U's returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Notts County this Saturday.
Hewitt Elliott opened the score in the 17th minute, before seeing Colchester United catch up in the 24th minute thanks to Guthrie Kurtis. 1-1 at half time. The U's eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Duffy Richard into his own net in the 77th minute.
Colchester United FC climbed to 13rd place with 27 points from 21 games, only one point behind Yeovil Town FC.
