League Two (Week 34) : Doncaster beats Cambridge United 3-2
ENGLAND, Feb. 28, 2017 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 34: After their 1-1 draw against Luton Town on February 25 and 2-2 draw against Accrington Stanley on February 25, Rovers bounced back with a 3-2 victory over Cambridge United this Tuesday.
Doncaster Rovers dominated the first half thanks to goals from Rowe Tommy ('18) and Baudry Mathieu ('23). Leading 2-0 at the break, Rovers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Marquis John on penalty in the 71st minute.
Doncaster Rovers FC remains in first place with 68 points from 34 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up Plymouth Argyle FC, which has a game in hand.
