FRANCE, Mar. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 31: After their 2-2 draw against Lyon on March 13, Rennes bounced back with a 5-2 victory over Marseille this Friday.
Yoann Gourcuff scored dual goals
Rennes dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gourcuff ('4), Diagné ('9) and Dembele Ousmane ('14). Leading 3-1 at the break, Rennes players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Gourcuff '59 and Sio '77).
Rennes climbed to third place with 48 points from 31 games, 4 points behind AS Monaco, which has a game in hand.
