FRANCE, Aug. 21, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 2: After a 1-0 victory over Angers on August 13, Montpellier lost 3-1 against Saint-Etienne.
Montpellier had started off well by taking the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal by forward Steve Mounié. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Saint-Etienne players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Monnet-Paquet '47, Saint-Louis '50 and Beric Robert '85).
Saint-Etienne climbed to 7th place with 3 points from 2 games, tie on points with Bastia.
