FRANCE, Aug. 27, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 3: The match between Montpellier and Rennes ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Montpellier players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Montpellier defender Daniel Congré in the 23rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rennes with a saving goal from Diakhaby Adama in the 64th minute.
Rennes climbed to 8th place with 4 points from 3 games, tie on points with Toulouse, which has a game in hand.
