Ligue 1 (Week 13) : Lille beats Saint-Etienne 3-1
FRANCE, Nov. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 13: Two wins in a row for Lille. After their 0-3 win against Metz on November 5, Lille continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 3-1 victory over Saint-Etienne this Friday.
Lille forward Pepe Nicolas opened the score in the 20th minute, before seeing Saint-Etienne catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Jonathan Bamba penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. Lille eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Mendes Thiago ('71) and Ponce Ezequiel ('89).
Saint-Etienne remains in 6th place with 18 points from 13 games, 5 points behind Nantes, which has a game in hand.
