Magee Mike scored dual goals
DC United had started off well by taking the lead in the 5th minute with a goal by Neagle Lamar. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Galaxy nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Steres Daniel '54, Magee Mike '64, '87 and Keane Robbie '83 on penalty).
