UNITED STATES, Apr. 23, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 0-1 to Toronto FC on April 16, DCU bounced back with a 3-0 victory over New England this Saturday.
DC United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Neagle Lamar in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, DCU further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Acosta Luciano '86/penalty and Saborio Alvaro '90).
DC United climbed to 12nd place with 9 points from 8 games, tie on points with Orlando City SC, which has two games in hand.
