MLS : New York City defeats Chicago Fire 4-1
UNITED STATES, Sep. 23, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After their 2-2 draw against FC Dallas on September 17, NYCFC bounced back with a 4-1 victory over Chicago Fire this Friday.
Villa David scored dual goals
New York City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mena Jefferson ('8), Villa David ('9) and Mendoza Steven ('44). Leading 3-1 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Villa David with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
New York City FC climbed to third place with 48 points from 31 games, tie on points with Los Angeles Galaxy, which has a game in hand.
