MLS : Chicago Fire beats Philadelphia 3-0

UNITED STATES, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 6-2 to DC United on August 27, the Men in Red returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Philadelphia Union this Saturday.

Chicago Fire dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Alberg Roland in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Men in Red further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (De Leeuw Michael '71 and Alvarez Arturo '90).

Philadelphia Union remains in 8th place with 40 points from 28 games, 3 points behind Real Salt Lake, which has a game in hand.
