MLS : New York City beats Columbus 4-1

UNITED STATES, Oct. 23, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 3-1 to DC United on October 16, NYCFC returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Columbus Crew this Sunday.

New York City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mendoza Steven in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, NYCFC further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Harrison Jack '76, Shelton Khiry '77 and Villa David '90).

New York City FC climbed to fourth place with 54 points from 34 games, 3 points behind New York Red Bulls.
