UNITED STATES, Oct. 23, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After their 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake on October 16, the Wizards returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over San Jose Earthquakes this Sunday.

Sporting Kansas City dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Feilhaber Benny in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Wizards further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zusi Graham with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Sporting Kansas City climbed to 8th place with 47 points from 34 games, only one point behind Seattle Sounders FC.
