APIA, Nov. 22, 2011 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 (Qualifiers) : The American Samoa defeated Tonga by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Oceania Nations Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday afternoon at the National Soccer Stadium in Apia.
The result put the Samoans top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, the American Samoa will meet the Cook islands at the National Soccer Stadium on November 24, while Tonga will face Samoa.
