APIA, Nov. 22, 2011 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 (Qualifiers) : Samoa defeated the Cook islands by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2012 Oceania Nations Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday afternoon at the National Soccer Stadium in Apia.
The result put the Samoans top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, Samoa will meet Tonga at the National Soccer Stadium on November 24, while the Cook islands will face the American Samoa.
