ENGLAND, Apr. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 33: After losing 1-0 to Leicester on April 3, the Saints returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Newcastle this Saturday.
Southampton dominated the first half thanks to goals from Long ('4) and Pellè ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Saints further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Wanyama in the 55th minute.
Southampton climbed to 6th place with 50 points from 33 games, 3 points behind Manchester United FC, which has two games in hand.
