Primeira Liga (Week 1) : Académica hold Sporting to 1-1
PORTUGAL, Aug. 16, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga: Académica Coimbra and Sporting Lisbon opened the 2014-2015 season with an entertaining 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Sporting Lisbon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Peruvian forward Carrillo in the 16th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Académica Coimbra with a saving goal from Académica Coimbra forward Lopes in the 90th minute.
