União da Madeira players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Amilton Minervino ('22 and '37. However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Vitoria Setubal with goals by Salim Cissé ('53) and Costa Vasco ('90).
