PORTUGAL, Apr. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 28: 6 wins in a row for Benfica. After their success against Paços de Ferreira, União da Madeira, Sporting Lisbon, Tondela and Boavista, the Eagles continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 5-1 victory over Braga this Friday.
Mitroglou Kostas scored dual goals
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mitroglou Kostas ('17), Jonas Oliveira ('37 on penalty) and Pizzi Luis Miguel ('40). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Mitroglou Kostas '71 and Samaris '75).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 70 points from 28 games, a 5-point lead over runner-up Sporting Clube de Portugal, which has a game in hand.
