Primeira Liga (Week 19) : Braga defeats Rio Ave 5-1
PORTUGAL, Jan. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 19: Two wins in a row for Braga. After their 2-3 win against Nacional on January 17, the Arcebispos continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 5-1 victory over Rio Ave this Sunday.
Hassan Ahmed scored dual goals
Braga dominated the first half thanks to goals from Hassan Ahmed ('11, '17). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Arcebispos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Santos Pedro '64, Silva Rafa '66 and Fonte Rui '75).
SG Braga remains in fourth place with 35 points from 19 games, 5 points behind FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
