Segunda division (Week 13) : Girona beats Leganés 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 15, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 13: After losing 2-1 to Valladolid on November 8 and 1-2 to Las Palmas on November 8, the Blanquivermells bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Leganés this Saturday.
Sandaza scored dual goals
Lejeune opened the score in the 14th minute with an own goal, before seeing Girona catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Sandaza. 1-1 at half time. The Blanquivermells eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Sandaza in stoppage time.
Girona FC climbed to first place with 26 points from 13 games, one point ahead of runner-up UD Las Palmas, which has a game in hand.
