Segunda division (Week 10) : Girona defeats Mirandés 3-0
SPAIN, Oct. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 10: Four wins in a row for Girona. After their success against Ponferradina, Albacete and Sabadell, the Blanquivermells continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 3-0 victory over Mirandés this Sunday.
Girona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Sanchon in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Sandaza '52 and Bordas '82).
Girona FC remains in first place with 23 points from 10 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Real Valladolid.
