Segunda division (Week 11) : Valladolid beats Girona 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 2, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 11: After four straigth victories against Ponferradina, Albacete, Sabadell and Mirandés, the Blanquivermells lost 2-1 against Valladolid.
Valladolid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mojica in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Pucelanos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jaime with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Real Valladolid climbed to first place with 24 points from 11 games, one point ahead of runner-up Girona FC.
