Segunda division (Week 11) : Las Palmas beats Albacete 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 1, 2014 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 11: After their 2-2 draw against Ponferradina on October 25, Los Amarillos bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Albacete this Saturday.
Las Palmas dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Hernan in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Amarillos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mesa in the 57th minute.
UD Las Palmas climbed to second place with 22 points from 11 games, only one point behind Girona FC, which has a game in hand.
