Segunda division (Week 26) : Cordoba defeats Ponferradina 3-1
SPAIN, Feb. 20, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 26: After losing 0-2 to Zaragoza on February 14, Los Califas returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Ponferradina this Saturday.
Cordoba dominated the first half thanks to goals from Fidel De La Torre ('24) and Xisco Francisco ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Califas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Markovic Sasa with one minute left in regular time.
Cordoba CF climbed to third place with 43 points from 26 games, 3 points behind CD Leganés.
