Segunda division (Week 14) : Oviedo beats Gimnastic 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 12, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 14: Two wins in a row for Real Oviedo. After their 3-2 win against Lugo on November 5, the Carbayones continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-1 victory over Gimnastic de Tarragona this Sunday.
Gimnastic de Tarragona had started off well by taking the lead in the 40th minute with a goal by Barreiro Manu on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Carbayones nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Hernandez Carlos '72 and Niguez Aaron '90 on penalty).
Real Oviedo climbed to 9th place with 20 points from 14 games, only one point behind Rayo Vallecano de Madrid.
