Serie A (Week 12) : Empoli beats Parma 2-0
ITALY, Nov. 23, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 12: Two wins in a row for Empoli. After their 2-1 win against Lazio on November 9, the Azzurri continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Parma this Sunday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uruguayan midfielder Matías Vecino in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Tavano in the 56th minute.
Empoli FC climbed to 13rd place with 13 points from 12 games, only one point behind Hellas Verona.
