ITALY, Oct. 5, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 6: After three straigth draws, the Azzurri returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Palermo this Sunday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Maccarone ('4) and Tonelli ('33). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pucciarelli in the 63rd minute.
Empoli FC climbed to 10th place with 6 points from 6 games, tie on points with Lazio, which has a game in hand.
