ITALY, Oct. 20, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 7: The match between Genoa and Empoli ended in a 1-1 draw on Monday.
Genoa players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Genoa midfielder Andrea Bertolacci in the 14th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with a saving goal from Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli in the 78th minute.
Genoa CFC climbed to 10th place with 9 points from 7 games, tie on points with Inter Milan.
