ITALY, Oct. 19, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 7: Sampdoria was held to a 2-2 draw by Cagliari on Sunday.
Sampdoria players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Gabbiadini ('28) and Obiang ('39). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Cagliari with goals by Avelar ('59 on penalty) and Sau ('77).
UC Sampdoria remains in third place with 15 points from 7 games, 3 points behind AS Roma.
