ITALY, Sep. 14, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 2: After their 1-1 draw against Palermo on August 31, the Blucerchiati returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Torino this Sunday.
Sampdoria dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Manolo Gabbiadini in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blucerchiati further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Okaka in the 79th minute.
UC Sampdoria climbed to third place with 4 points from 2 games, 2 points behind Juventus and AS Roma.
