Serie A (Week 8) : Genoa beats Chievo 2-1
ITALY, Oct. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 8: After their 1-1 draw against Empoli on October 20, Grifone bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Chievo this Sunday.
Chievo had started off well by taking the lead in the 36th minute with a goal by Bosnian defender Ervin Zukanović. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Grifone nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Matri '72 and Pinilla '84).
Genoa CFC climbed to 7th place with 12 points from 8 games, tie on points with Lazio, which has a game in hand.
