Serie A (Week 21) : Fiorentina defeats Torino 2-0
ITALY, Jan. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 21: After losing 1-3 to Lazio on January 17 and 2-0 to AC Milan on January 17, the Viola returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Torino this Sunday.
Fiorentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Slovenian midfielder Josip Iličić in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Viola further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Rodriguez Gonzalo with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
ACF Fiorentina climbed to third place with 41 points from 21 games, only one point behind Juventus, which has a game in hand.
