ITALY, Nov. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 12: After their 0-0 draw against AS Roma on October 30, the Azzurri returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Pescara this Sunday.
Massimo Maccarone scored dual goals
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Maccarone ('12, '44) and Pucciarelli ('23). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Saponara with one minute left in regular time.
Empoli FC climbed to 17th place with 10 points from 12 games, 3 points behind US Sassuolo Calcio, which has a game in hand.
