Serie A (Week 37) : Sassuolo beats Cagliari 6-2
ITALY, May. 21, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 37: Two wins in a row for Sassuolo. After their 1-2 win against Inter Milan on May 14, the Neroverdi continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 6-2 victory over Cagliari this Sunday.
Sassuolo dominated the first half thanks to goals from Magnanelli ('7), Berardi ('12), Politano Matteo ('13) and Sensi Stefano ('34). Leading 4-1 at the break, the Neroverdi further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Iemmello Pietro '56/penalty and Matri '90).
US Sassuolo Calcio climbed to 11st place with 46 points from 37 games, 2 points behind UC Sampdoria.
