Spezia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Situm in the 14th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Aquilotti further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cisotti with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
AC Perugia remains in first place with 14 points from 7 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Frosinone Calcio.
