Serie B (Week 18) : Avellino beats Lanciano 3-2
ITALY, Dec. 12, 2015 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 18: Two wins in a row for Avellino. After their 1-0 win against Pro Vercelli on December 8, the Lupi continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 3-2 victory over Virtus Lanciano this Saturday.
Virtus Lanciano had started off well by taking the lead in the 44th minute with a goal by Piccolo Antonio on penalty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Lupi nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Arini Mariano '56, Tavano Francesco '83 and Castaldo Luigi '87).
AS Avellino 1912 climbed to 14th place with 22 points from 18 games, only one point behind FC Pro Vercelli 1892.
