Serie B (Week 24) : Cagliari defeats Avellino 2-1
ITALY, Jan. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 24: Two wins in a row for Cagliari. After their 1-0 win against Ternana on January 23, the Rossoblu continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 2-1 victory over Avellino this Friday.
Mokulu Tembe Benjamin opened the score in the 5th minute, before seeing Cagliari catch up in the 11th minute thanks to Munari Gianni. 1-1 at half time. The Rossoblu eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Cerri Alberto in the 78th minute.
Cagliari climbed to first place with 52 points from 24 games, one point ahead of runner-up FC Crotone, which has a game in hand.
