Serie B (Week 5) : Empoli beats Parma 2-1
ITALY, Sep. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 5: Two wins in a row for Empoli. After their 3-0 win against Ascoli on September 16, the Azzurri continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 2-1 victory over Parma this Tuesday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Caputo Francesco in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Simic Lorenco in the 49th minute.
Empoli FC climbed to second place with 11 points from 5 games, 2 points behind Frosinone Calcio.
