Serie B (Week 4) : Empoli beats Ascoli 3-0
ITALY, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 4: After their 3-3 draw against Palermo on September 9, the Azzurri bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Ascoli this Saturday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Donnarumma Alfredo in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Caputo Francesco '50 and Ninkovic Nikola '85).
Empoli FC climbed to fourth place with 8 points from 4 games, 2 points behind Carpi FC 1909.
