Serie B (Week 3) : Palermo and Empoli play out 3-3 draw
ITALY, Sep. 9, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 3: Palermo was held to a 3-3 draw by Empoli on Saturday.
Palermo players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Cionek Thiago ('10) and Coronado Igor ('14) while Empoli only scored once Simic Lorenco ('23). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, and despite Gnahore Eddy goal ('76) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with dual goals from Caputo Francesco ('54 and '90/penalty.
Palermo are down in 7th place with 5 points from 3 games, one point behind Parma FC, which has a game in hand.
